WOMEN AND CHILD WELFARE

I. INTRODUCDTION:

Women & Child Welfare Department meant for the welfare of women and children. For Pregnant & Lactation mothers and children's up to 6 years. Supplementary Nutrition food is giving to combat malnutrition among women & children. To reduce gender bias, girl child protection scheme is implemented to encourage girl child education and age at marriage. The Girl Child Protection Scheme is implementing for the parents who has got operated for single or two girls. The department is running (3) orphan homes for the orphan girls up to 15 yrs. Skill development training is given to adolescent girls to discontinued studies. To protect women from domestic violence separate councilor and advocate is there to give counseling and filed cases to court to fight against the domestic violence cases. A district child protection unit has been establishing to take care of children's from 0 -14 yrs age group. Shishu Greha is established to take of abandoned children's in the district and also to give adoption to the PAP's who have no childrens.
